About the demonstrations

These demonstrations have been developed to make it easier for local people to find out about development plans which have been proposed for their area and use a section of the University of Salford campus as an example case study area.

The commenting system shows a 2D map of an area scheduled for redevelopment and tells you about a proposed development plan. With the Commenting System you can:

• comment on plans (and to other people's comments) on the map
• view photographs of the discussion area by clicking on the image icons.

The discussion forum is more of a chat room environment where you can talk with other people about a specific topic related to the development proposal you are interested in. With the Discussion Forum you can:

• join a discussion on an existing topic or start your own
• view information on the proposed development by clicking on the interactive map.

Requirements

• There is a recommended screen resolution of 1024x768 for this system.
